Analyse the question

Part B of the exam asks you to write an extended response – an essay – to a question you will not know prior to the exam. So how to start and where to go …

Even in an exam you have time to do more than just write.

In fact, just writing as soon as you can is not a good strategy.

To answer any question successfully you must first analyse the question!
