What Happened?

A visual representation of what we have learnt can be very helpful for analysing cause and consequence, identifying continuity and change and establishing historical significance.

On paper, create your notes:

Step 1
Choose and event

Step 2
Based on our class activities, reading, primary sources and
historical interpretations, identify:

When it happened?

The date(s) on which it occurred will be the subject line of the timeline event you will add

Who was involved?

Where did it happen?

Step 3

Write a short (100-200 word) summary – treat it like a tweet!

Step 4
On the Russian Revolution Timeline Padlet – add your event

Step 5

On someone else’s event add a comment on one or more of the following:

#who was involved (use the person’s name after the #)

#location

#ideas/ideologies/concepts involved?

#is it significant? Give us a reason!

If there is a relevant image – upload it!

List 1 source – primary or historical interpretation relevant to the event.
